Houstons Neighborhoods

A friend and I are hoping to start a small Christmas Light Hanging business. Any tips?

We are just looking for tips and tricks, if anyone has tried to do this too! Thanks!

  1. Don't fall off your ladder.
  2. Darren you beat me to it. But seriously! The first thing you need to worry about is marketing your self to the local area. I recommend making yourself some flyers. asking the local shop keepers if they will be willing for you to leave a small pile on there desks, in exchange offer that you will come and do there's for free. Make sure you get them into local schools, and whatever you do get them into the churches. Decide whether you want to charge per unit you hang or per hour, I recommend you do a trial on your own house and work out which is more cost effective. Details you need on the flyer, your name, contact details, times that you can work, cost put down the minimum cost, people will be scared by a big number (you can always up it when they call you depending on how much work needs to be done). Finally when your doing it just be careful, I don't know where your based but watch out for ice. p.s. I love your idea, just make sure you make it work.
