What Hierarchy of values does Fitzgerald establish in the Great Gatsby?
What Hierarchy of values does Fitzgerald establish in The Great Gatsby? Which personal qualities does Fitzgerald Prize most highly? Which does he condemn most strongly? This is going to be a question on my test tomorrow, and I am hung up on how to answer it. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

- Not sure exactly what you mean by "hierarchy of values". But based on what the main character goes through, it appears that Fitzgerald it conveying the theme there are certain things that money can't buy. It shows how unhappy individuals are who appear to "have it all" It shows how love is a more desired conquest than wealth. I havn't read this book in forever, mind you. Hope this gives you a start....
