Do I need hands on training for a computer networking degree?
I want to know if I need hands on training to be become a skilled computer networking administartor? I'm planning to perhaps enroll in a online college to earn a computer networking degree. Can I become skilled in as a networking administrator from online college?

- Yes. Absolutely. Like any job - you can learn all you want in school, but until you get out and try your knowledge in the real world, you really don't know a thing. You can setup your own firewall at home, and even your own server, and learn a fair amount - but that's only part of it. You can learn about network admin tasks online, but like any job, you'll have to get out and try it. I've worked with a lot of network admins, and none of them "graduated" college/university as a network admin - they grew into that role.
