How to start a social hierarchy in high school?
How do you establish a social hierarchy in a small private school whose caste system hasn't been active since Britney and Madonna shared a kiss on the small-screen?

- Why do you want to? It'll just cause drama in your school.
- Yes it will lead to problems and dramas. A school is a community and no student should be rejected by a particular group.
- Be careful, no doubt you wish to install yourself on the top of this hierarchy...but schools are tough systems and it is very easy to lose the top dog position. Also, from experience (not mine but from observing others) the people at the top tend to have a lot of people 'around them' but no real 'true friends'. Which won't bother you whilst you have all the people around you, but when they eventually become bored of you or move on to something else (which they will) you'll be left with no close friends whatsoever. Are you sure you want to establish this system? If you want to - just make sure you're popular and start hanging out somewhere. Talk about the fun things you did and parties you've been to (even if they're not really true) and talk down to people who don't really matter and have no friends. Essentially be nasty to people that don't matter and be friends with people who do. Then, to establish power - when someone in your friendship group does something bad you must exclude them from everything. And make sure everyone else excludes them. This will let everyone know you're top dog and not to mess with you. This plan will backfire. If you're not popular enough it will backfire immediately. If you ARE popular enough, it will backfire when you hit 18years and realise you have no friends left. Enjoy!
