What was a peasant's place in the feudal hierarchy? Who do they owe loyalty to and vice versa?

I really need help on this. what were the ranks of the peasant's in the feudal hierarchy? Did they owe loyalty to people? Who? Did anybody owe loyalty to them? Please help me! It is really important

1. They owed loyalty to the fuedal lords and gave them a portion of their crops. In return they were allowed to farm the land, were given parcels, and were given military protections in times of war. During famines and hard times, feudal lords were expected to give charity to peasants.
