What is the benefit of having a Virtual Money Debit card?

What are the benefits / pitfalls of the Virtual Money cards and does anyone have a reputable source for these?

1. Secure...if you lose it they will replace funds. Has more "cache" than cash...looks like you have a credit card. Re-loadable. Accepted wherever cc's are.
2. The benefit is that you are always spending your own money, and not borrowing from others. The pitfalls is that people can become lax about monitoring there accounts, as you are allowing banks to basically pay your bills, and purchases for you. therefor if a mistake happens you may possibly miss it. It is always better to pay cash yourself, or keep good track of all of your account activities.
